Here is a quick guide on how to get the cool symbols for your Sidekick LX or Sidekick 2008. Yes, this does work on Sidekick 3, Sidekick ID and Sidekick Slides. =)

To see these symbols properly, you need to visit the page with your sidekick. Windows will make them look different.

1. Highlight the symbols by pressing down and holding the SHIFT button and then press an arrow on the DPAD….

(what ever arrow you press is the direction it will highlight in….Everything thats highlighted will have a black background and the text will turn white)

2. To copy what you’ve highlighted, press and hold down the MENU button and then press the C button.

3. Paste and save them  in the your autotext. To do this from the jump screen, press MENU/SETTINGS/AUTOTEXT.

4. Inside your auto text ,press MENU then select NEW RULE.

5. In the second box closest to your right hand, PASTE the symbols by holding down MENU and then pressing the V button.  The symbols should appear in the box.

6. In the first box type something like sb and then press done.

7. Go to your notes and test it out by typing in sb and hit the space bar.

Now every time you type sb and hit the space bar the symbols will appear.

You can create as many new auto text rules as you want now!
