Sidekick Trackball Problems?

If you are having problems with your trackball, here are two ways to make it work better.

1: Take a deep breath and blow on the trackball area, rotate and do it again.  This may blow any particles block the sensors.

2: This requires a Q-tip and some alcohol.  Turn off your sidekick, wet the end of the q-tip, and gently clean the trackball while rotating.  Be careful not to get the alcohol on anything but the trackball.  Let dry for a minute and try it out.  If this doesn’t work then try again.

If all else fails, give T-mobile a call and get a new one!

Why does this happen? I know a lot of people who have the exact same problem with their LX. I know what you mean about getting a refurb! My phone is in perfect condition (aside from this darn trackball) and I refuse to be stuck with anything less!

The problem also occurs when u get water in your phone…hitting it with a blowdryer near the trackball area will both clear particles and help dry some water
