Recently, T-Mobile gave consumers a chance to play with T-Mobile Sidekick iD devices by sending out teams of street demonstrators to events and local hang-outs in 10 major cities around the country. The demonstrators guided event goers and passers by on how to get started using a T-Mobile Sidekick, while explaining some of the more powerful capabilities of the device as well. T-Mobile Sidekick iD street teams can be seen zipping around in LA, NY, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Philly, Atlanta, Miami, and Boston.

Engadget has uncovered some rumors of a possible T Mobile Sidekick 4 and Sidekick Slide.. Above are photos  of rumored models of the phones.  The Slide, seen in a domain registered by T-Mobile, looks to be fatter than the regular Sidekick 4/Sidekick 3 we’ve seen before.

The Sidekick 4, if these renders are correct, has a wide screen that fills out the entirety of the middle section, and pretty much keeps the same-ish face buttons as the 3. But with great messengers like the Helio Ocean upping the ante for QWERTY phones, what’s the next gen going to bring to the table that we haven’t already seen?
