I have been trying to find a good source to buy skins for your new T-mobile Sidekick LX. So far, Ebay has had the most. I will keep looking and update you when I find more skins. Amazon has some Sidekick LX skins as well.

Fans of T-Mobile’s Sidekick camped outside a Times Square store yesterday to buy the newest version of the souped-up phone.

“The resolution is crazy. I love it!” said Xavier Gonzalez, 23, of Queens, swiveling open his new Sidekick LX. “I wouldn’t have waited outside all night for no reason.”

At the exclusive, invitation-only launch event, held at the historical Griffith Park in Los Feliz, celebrities such as Shia LaBeouf, Justin Chambers and Carmen Electra dropped in to check out the newest look and design of their favorite handheld communications device and take pleasure in the company of their inner social circle at Hollywood’s hottest bash.

The sophisticated Sidekick LX launch event brought to life the ultimate hipster dwelling, transforming The Clubhouse at the Wilson and Harding Golf Course at Griffith Park into an upscale manor complete with mod art displays to admire, plush furniture to sink back into over cocktails with friends, ornate Persian rugs and vintage light fixtures and chandeliers to enhance the mood.

The sidekick LX is here or will be in a few short hours. After the extravagant launch party, free stuff for celebs, The Sidekick LX will be available in stores.

There will be a kickoff event at all T-Mobile stores nationwide tomorrow where you can purchase the Sidekick LX (in midnight blue or espresso brown) for $299.99 with a two-year contract. As a quick reminder, new features on the LX include an improved display that shows 65,000 colors at a 400×240 pixel resolution, a trimmer form factor, and MySpace Mobile integration.

Yeah, I wish it was me but it was Boy Genius who got to do the unboxing!  Lucky guy.

 The thinner, lighter feel of the device and crisp display garnered the Sidekick LX some kudos from Boy Genius, as did the trademark Sidekick-QWERTY keyboard and rubberized backside. Unfortunately, lack of WiFi and 3G are a couple of Sidekick LX downers.
