Section 1:
Loading and Setting Screen Savers in 10 Steps!
If you want to load a screen saver from a computer start at step one. if you want to put an image already on the sidekick go to step 6.
Step One: find a screen saver you want to use.You can use any image as a screen saver I recommend using a premade screen saver or requesting a custom one be made for you because certian images will not look right due to their size. Once you have located an image….
Step Two: Plug the USB cord into the sidekick or remove the memory card and put it in a memory card reader. Wait for a screen on your computer to ask you what you want to do next. Scroll down and select ‘open folder to view files’ and hit ‘ok’.
Step Three: Now select the DCIM folder which should be displayed in the window that opened.
Step Four: Go to the image you want to use as a screen saver and right click it then select ‘copy’ then go back to the folder named “DCIM” folder and press ‘ctrl + v’
Step Five: Unplug the USB cord
Step Six: Go to the sidekick and hit JUMP then press and select ’settings’ then ‘keyguard and security’
Step Seven: Press enter or click the scroll wheel and then highlighting the ‘mountain with a camera’ logo then pressing enter or clicking the scroll wheel.
Step Eight: Go to ‘Memory Card Album’ and press enter. Scroll to the image you want and select it by clicking the scroll wheel.
Step Nine: Now press DONE two times
Step Ten: Test the new screen saver by activating your keyguard. Press and hold until the screen saver appears.
Note: Pressing
and
at the same time while your phone is keyguarded will light your phone up so you can see your screen saver.
Section 2:
Creating your own background
Step One: Open a new file in any image editor, i recommend photoshop and make the image size 240px by 160px.
Step Two: Import images and edit them on the canvas.
Step Three: Save the image as a .jpg to your computer.
Step Four: Go to section 1 of this page to set the screen saver on your sidekick.
