Getting ready to buy a T-mobile Sidekick LX? Got some questions before you do? Here are some of the common questions I have seen for the Sidekick LX and answers for them.

Q. I want to buy a sidekick LX. If i buy the my faves 600, will it include the internet and unlimited email?
A. No it will not, you need to add the Sidekick Data Plan.  It will cost 19.99 a month with the Fave 600 plan. 

Q. I am planning to get a T-mobile Sidekick LX.  Do I have to get the Sidekick Unlimited service plan?
A. No, you do not have to get the Sidekick Data plan. You can just get a minutes plan.  You will not be able to use the internet, email, or the chat features. You can use text though.

Q. I really want to get the Sidekick LX, but I live in the Philippines. Can I buy one from the US, unlock it, and use it here? Will the the internet  work from here, as well as the chat features?
A. You can get a Sidekick LX and unlock for use in the Philippines.  The unlocking service is about 75 dollars.  You will only be able to use it to for phone calls and texting.  The chat feature, internet and email will not function.  You need to be on a T-mobile network and have the sidekick data plan for those to function.

Q. I just want to buy a T-mobile sidekick lx with the data plan. Do I have to sign a contract with t-mobile?
A. You do not have to sign a contract to get the T-mobile Sidekick LX with just a data plan.  You will have to pay the full retail price of the phone though.  Currently, it is 399 on the T-mobile web site.

Q. I just bought my sidekick lx yesterday and I want to download free ringtones.  Is there a way to get ringtones for the T-mobile Sidekick LX?
A. You can only download ringtones for the sidekick from the T-mobile catalog. Ringtone websites don't work.  T-mobile has restricted this so they can generate some extra cash.
